Limited with few trekking days and want to reach the mountain base camp? Then Mardi Himal Base Camp, trek is the best option. A new Trekking trail, offbeaten path, less touristy trek of Nepal in the Annapurna Region, offering spectacular view of Annapurna Range with beautiful landscapes brings you to the highest altitude of 4500m at Base Camp. This trek can be done in 5 to 7 days depending upon the extra coverage.  Least crowded route than other trekking trails of Nepal. The trekking path is full of forests, rhododendron flowers, trekking uphill and downhill, river flowing on the side, majestic view of mountain peaks. If you have only 4 days available to trek in Nepal then also this trek is possible, normally this trek can be done with 1 week travel plan in Nepal or 2 week travel plan in Nepal. Mardi Himal Base camp trek is also less costly/medium trek package in Nepal. Note: This trek package can be fully customized, contact us and we will make Itinerary as per your available days, activities you want and what you want and to include more services, more tours. We offer Private Treks so as to provide the full time of the guide to guests and this trek can be booked upon the available time of yours, can be modified as per your taste.

Accommodation: During the trek accommodation will be in tea houses/mountain lodges. All accommodation are served on twin sharing basis, single supplement will increase the price. But for the trek booked on single basis, you will be served on single supplement. 

Meals: During the trek we will provide breakfast, Lunch and Dinner serving tea 2-3 times as well as fresh fruits per day as per itinerary. There will be farewell dinner as well as souvenir from us.

Physical Conditions & Experiences: : No such experience need for this trek as well as you should be physical fit as this trek involves hiking through the forest, stoned paved path and need to hike for 6 hrs per day. Doing some stretching, jogging, some other exercise for few weeks will be highly beneficial.

Season for trekking: Can be done in all months, best time to trek is Mid-February to Mid-June and Mid-September to Mid-December. June to September is monsoon season and December to February is cold season. Peak season for trekking is October and November. It would be also good idea to celebrate New year at the base camp. We organize group treks for New year too and the price become relatively low for group treks.

A. The best season to do Mardi Himal Trek is Mid September to Mid December and Mid February to Mid June, whereas the peak month of trekking is October and April. Yet we can do this trek throughout the year.

 

Q. Do I need any kind of special training to do Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek?

A.  No any kind of special training is needed for this trek, but you need to be physically fit as well as can walk average 6 hrs per day for a week. So we recommend to do some exercises prior the trekking.

 

Q. Is the Mardi Himal Trekking Route safe for solo travellers?

A. Yeah, Nepal is safe to travel, doing solo travel slightly expensive as the trekking price gets reduced with the number of travellers. The trek package price so mentioned for Mardi Himal Base Camp is based on solo traveler, if you are with group or more than one then also we provide discount.

Q. What are the minimum days to do Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek?

A. Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek can be done within 4 days and can be extended more than 7 days, lesser days means covering more parts per day and shortening the trek route by covering only main areas.  With Extended days we will cover more side trips, if you have enough holidays then contact us we will cover more areas.

 

Q. Do I fee Altitude Sickness for Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek?

A. The highest elevation for Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek is 4500m, with highest overnight spot at High Camp, 3550m. Due to presence of wild forest and more trees the air level is not low, as well as we will provide proper acclimatization so the cases of Altitude Sickness are generally low while doing Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek.


Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu:  Pick up from airport and drop in hotel included. Brief info about Nepal and trekkings in Nepal.

Day 2: City tour and Trek Preparation: If you are time bound then we can escape this day and drive to Pokhara or Flight (Domestic Flight to Pokhara with additional Amount) and Trek Preparation. Otherwise you can make City tour on your own (We can also provide City tour with guide but it will increase the trek package price. We will surely provide all information which sites to visit, how to reach there, Entry fees to the site and what to try in those areas). Kathmandu valley is beautiful valley with Temples, Stupas, Monasteries, Durbar Square (Palace), UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites. We will make trek preparation, get introduce with the guide, Buy Trekking gears and for Rentals we will rent from Pokhara.

Day 3: Drive/ Flight to Pokhara: 7 hrs drive from Kathmandu to reach Pokhara. Transportation in Tourist Bus. For Fligt Trek Package price will slightly increase, we make this package including Tourist Bus service. If anything is missing then we can buy from Pokhara. Final Trek Preparation and sightseeing around Lakeside, Phewa Lake.

Day 4: Pokhara – Phedi – Dhampus – Pothana – Deurali : With 30 minutes’ drive from Pokhara we will reach Phedi, from here hike starts. 2 hours steep uphill hike from Phedi will take us to Dhampus, we will have our Lunch and short rest. From Dhampus the trail will be easy, with 1 hours hike we will reach Pothana, it is the ACAP/TIMS check point and 45 minutes hike from Pothana to Deurali.  Dinner and Overnight at Deurali.

Maximum Altitude: 2100m: Deurali

Average Hike: 4 Hours

Day 5: Deurali – Forest Camp – Rest Camp: 4 hours hike through Dense Rhododendron Forest, oak trees, will take us to Forest Camp. We can have our Breakfast and Lunch at Deurali and can start trek as there are no place in between Deurali and Forest Camp to have lunch. With 45 mins hike from forest camp we will reach Rest Camp. We will stay overnight at Rest Camp and have dinner there. Forest camp is just in the midst of dense forest, the only view we get is of forest. So, we will make our overnight place at Rest Camp from where we can see the mountains view also.

Maximum Altitude: 2480m: Rest Camp

Average Hike: 5 Hours

Day 6: Rest Camp – Low Camp – Badal Danda – High Camp: Another Day in wilderness, hiking through the Rhododendron forests, closer view to mountains will ease the pain. We will start our hike to Low Camp after breakfast at Rest Camp. 1 hours hike from Rest Camp takes us to Low Camp. With 45 minutes hike from Low Camp we will reach Bandal Danda, we will have Lunch and take short rest. With 2 hours hike we will reach High Camp. We will have our dinner and overnight at High Camp.

Maximum Altitude: 3550m: High Camp

Average Hike: 4 Hours

Day 7: High Camp – Mardi Himal Base Camp – Bandal Danda: Waking up in early morning and 3hrs hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp. We will spend few minutes here for watching spectacular Mountain View and start our return hike to High Camp. It’s not good to spend more time in Base Camp as it can bring altitude sickness rest. We will eat packed food during the way as there is no place to eat. With 2hrs hike we will reach high camp, will have lunch here and take short rest. With 1hrs hike we will reach Bandal Danda, Dinner and Overnight here.

Maximum Altitude: 4500m: Mardi Himal Base Camp

Average Hike: 6 Hours

Day 8: Bandal Danda – Low Camp – Sidhing – Pokhara:  Hiking through the midst of green forest, beautiful villages, amazing landscapes, brooks involves in this day. With 30 mins hike from Bandal Danda we will reach Low Camp and with 2hrs from here we will reach Sidhing. We will have our Lunch here and take Jeep towards Pokhara. With 2hrs 30mins jeep drive we will reach Pokhara and our trek ends.

Average Hike: 3 Hours

 Day 9: Rest Day in Pokhara: Explore the beauty of Pokhara, you can also do adventure activities like Paragliding, Zip Flyer, Bungee Jump, Boating in Phewa Lake. We provide booking for these services too.

Day 10: Drive/Flight to Kathmandu: Shopping for Souvenir in Kathmandu, visiting some of the sites.

Day 11: Departure from Kathmandu: Airport drop service included. If you want to add your holiday and do more hikes then also we will provide those services.

Note: We can start this trek through Australian Camp also, as well as with additional days we can cover Kalimati as well as Dhital. These places are the best places for the mountain view and to spend the time.

More person in a group helps to reduce the trek package as some of the cost can be distributed upon number of person. Such as guide cost remains same if you are travelling alone or with 4 other persons.
