Trek Summary:

The Last forbidden Kingdom of Nepal, lying between the Himalayas and Tibet is one of the most beautiful treks in Nepal. This trek was restricted to the foreigners until 1992. Nowadays it is allowed for those foreigners completing the requirements for this trek. Doing this trek offers you to see the beautiful Himalayas, Gompas, Tibetan culture, traditions, caved walls, barren land, arid deserts, dusty road and many more. The best season for doing this trek is March to November, during the monsoon season also we do this trek as this part is the rainfall shadow area.


Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu:  Pick up from airport and drop in hotel included. Accommodation in 3 star level hotels with Breakfast included. We will provide brief info about Nepal and trekkings in Nepal.

 

Day 2: City tour and Trek Preparation: If you are time bound then we can escape this day and drive to Pokhara or Flight (Domestic Flight to Pokhara with additional Amount) and Trek Preparation. Otherwise you can make City tour on your own (We can also provide City tour with guide but it will increase the trek package price. We will surely provide all information on which sites to visit, how to reach there, Entry fees to the site and what to try in those areas). Kathmandu valley is beautiful valley with Temples, Stupas, Monasteries, Durbar Square (Palace), UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites. We will make trek preparation, get introduce with the guide, buy trekking gears and for rentals we will rent from Pokhara.

 

Day 3: Drive/ Flight to Pokhara: 7 hrs drive from Kathmandu to reach Pokhara. Transportation in Tourist Bus. For Fligt Trek Package price will slightly increase, we make this package including Tourist Bus service. If anything is missing then we can buy from Pokhara. Final Trek Preparation and sightseeing around Lakeside, Phewa Lake. Accommodation in 3 star level Hotel.

 

Day 4: Flight to Jomsom and Trek to Kagbeni (2810m): Early morning flight to Jomsom and starting the trek. During the flight we will see great scenery of mountains, hills. We will trek to Kagbeni, and visit monasteries established more than 500 years ago. Kagbeni is the beautiful village filled with Tibetan cultures and traditions.

Day 5: Trek to Chele (3100m): Ascending trekking path, passing few small villages, leaving behind the Kali Gandaki river, facing the strong wind, wheat, buck wheat and barley field, apple orchards, chortens,caves, gompas, enjoying the beauty of the trek will take us to our overnight stop at Chele.

Day 6: Trek to Syanboche (3800m): Leaving the Manangi Culture behind and entering into pure Tibetan culture, more ascending less descending trek route filled with arid desert and barren lands, with view of canyons, crossing the ridges and finally descending to Syangboche for overnight.

Overnight Altitude: 3800m

Day 7: Trek to Ghami (3510m): Descending trail filled with poplar trees and barley fields to one of the biggest village in the Lo region. Enjoy the day with the good views, passes, gompas, chortens.

Day 8: Trek to Tsarang (3575m): Starting with the descend trail through the cliff, rough trail, crossing the suspension bridge, ascending trail also we will cross Choya La Pass (3870m), passing the mani walls, chortens, canyons, gompas will make this day beautiful.

Overnight Altitude: 3575m

Day 9: Trek to Lo Manthang (3840m): We will reach to the main attraction of this trek today, Lo Manthang, the capital city of Mustang. Trekking trail is uphill and downhill filled with preayers flag, chortens beautiful views, crossing the Lo La Pass (3950m).

Overnight Altitude: 3840m

Day 10: Rest/Explore Day at Lo Manthang: Capital city of the last forbidden kingdom of Nepal, Lo Manthang lies in plain Tibetan plateau, rich in wealth earned by the trade with Tibet, surrounded by big walls, carrying ancient history, enrich in Tibetan culture and traditions. Here are beautiful temples and Gompas, ancient monasteries believed to be built during 14th century, we will spend our day on this enchanting beauty of Lo Manthang.

 

Day 11: Trek to Drakmar (3820m) via Chogo La Pass (4325m): Without returning to the same route to Tsarang we will make round trail and join the route at Dramkar. We will cross the highest pass of our trek, Chogo La Pass (4325m). Another main attraction of this day is Ghar Gompa, built on 7th Cnetury.

Day 12: Trek to Shyangboche (3800m): Ascent Descent trail, climbing to the ridge, dusty and windy trail will take us to Shyangboche.

Day 13: Tek to Chhuksang (3050m): Steep ascending, descending trail, visiting to the Chungsi Cave Monastery will add the beauty on this trek.

Overnight Altitude: 3050m

Day 14: Trek to Kagbeni (2810m) and to Jomsom (2700m): Leaving behind the restricted areas and entering to the beautiful village of Kagbeni.

Overnight Altitude: 2700m

Trek Hours: 6 hrs

Day 15: Flight to Pokhara: Early morning flight to Pokhara and exploring the beauty of Pokhara city.

Day 16: Rest Day in Pokhara: Explore the beauty of Pokhara, you can also do adventure activities like Paragliding, Zip Flyer, Bungee Jump, Boating in Phewa Lake. We provide booking for these services too.

 

Day 17: Drive/Flight to Kathmandu: Shopping for Souvenir in Kathmandu, visiting some of the sites.

 

Day 18: Departure from Kathmandu: Airport drop service included. If you want to add your holiday and do more hikes then also we will provide those services.

 

Note: This trek package can be fully customized, contact us and we will make Itinerary as per your available days, activities you want and what you want and to include more services, more tours. We offer Private Treks so as to provide the full time of the guide to guests and this trek can be booked upon the available time of yours, can be modified as per your taste.

 

Accommodation: Accommodation in 3 star hotel levels in Kathmandu and Pokhara. During the trek accommodation will be in tea houses/mountain lodges. All accommodation are served on twin sharing basis, single supplement will increase the price. But for the trek booked on single basis, you will be served on single supplement. During the trek during peak season it might be difficult to find room available on single basis.

Meals: Breakfast is included during the stay in Kathmandu and Pokhara as per itinerary. During the trek we will provide breakfast, Lunch and Dinner serving tea 2-3 times as well as fresh fruits per day as per itinerary. There will be farewell dinner as well as souvenir from us.

Physical Conditions & Experiences: No such experience need for this trek as well as you should be physical fit as this trek involves hiking through the forest, stoned paved path and need to hike for 6 hrs per day. Every age group person can do this trek.

Season for trekking: Best time to trek is Mid-February to Mid-June and Mid-September to Mid-December. June to September is monsoon season and December to February is cold season. Peak season for trekking is October and November.

Note: This trek package can be customized as per your need, covering all expenses from arrival up-to departure. More person in a group helps to reduce the trek package as some of the cost can be distributed upon number of person. Such as guide cost remains same if you are travelling alone or with 4 other persons.
