Trek Summary:

Annapurna Circuit trek or Annapurna round trek is one of the most beautiful and great Trekking trail of the world as this trekking tail offers wide range of flora and fauna, great landscapes, spectacular Mountain views, hiking from subtropical forest to the rainfall shadow area, Tibetan Plateau valley, reaching to the altitude of 5416m at Thorong La Pass, following the trail through river side. Hiking through the villages of different caste also adds us to know more cultures, lifestyles, traditions, etc.

Special Note: To fight against Global Climate Change, we highly discourage to use single use plastic bottles. So we will provide reusable Drinking water bottles.

Accommodation: During the trek accommodation will be in tea houses/mountain lodges. All accommodation are served on twin sharing basis, single supplement will increase the price. But for the trek booked on single basis, you will be served on single supplement. During the trek during peak season it might be difficult to find room available on single basis.

Meals: During the trek we will provide breakfast, Lunch and Dinner serving tea 2-3 times as well as fresh fruits per day as per itinerary. There will be farewell dinner as well as souvenir from us.

Physical Conditions & Experiences: Physically fit person who can walk around 6 hrs per day for longer periods are good for this trek. Our Itinerary is well planned to provide good acclimatization as well as our guide will take good care of your health. It would be better to do prior exercise before the start of trek for period of at least few weeks.

Season for  Annapurna  Circuit trekking: Best time to trek is March to May and October to November. June to September is monsoon season and December to February is cold season. Peak season for trekking is October and November.

Q. What is the best time for Annapurna Circuit trek?
A. If you want to see Mountains and trekking trail with snow then September to December, February to April would be perfect month, you can feel snow show shower during this months. April and October are regarded as the best months , as sky will be clear and also this months are most busiest month in trekking. Main trekking season for annapurna Circuit trek/ Round Annapurna Trek are Mid February to Mid June and Mid September to Mid December. July and August are monsoon season but trekking can also be done.

Q. What kind of training required for Annapurna Circuit trek?
A. You do not need to get certified of trainings for doing annapurna Circuit trek, if you are physically fit and can walk around 6 hrs per day, then you can do this trek.

Q. What is the minimum and maximum age for Annapurna Circuit trek?
A. We do not recommend for kids below the age of 12 years as they have less acclimatization capacity then adult, but if they are in proper shape then we can accept depending upon age, for adult and kids we extend the trekking days covering less by less per day without bring rush, increasing the trek days.

Q. Can we do Annapurna Circuit short Trek?

A. Yes we can complete Annapurna Circuit  trek in short days by using more off road drive and covering less trekking trails.


Detail Itinerary for Annapurna Circuit Trek/ Round Annapurna Trek

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu:  Pick up from airport and drop in hotel included. We will provide brief info about Nepal and trekkings in Nepal.

Day 2: City tour and Trek Preparation: If you are time bound then we can escape this day and start our Trek with trek preparation on previous day. Otherwise you can make City tour on your own (We can also provide City tour with guide but it will increase the trek package price. We will surely provide all information which sites to visit, how to reach there, Entry fees to the site and what to try in those areas). Kathmandu valley is beautiful valley with Temples, Stupas, Monasteries, Durbar Square (Palace), UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites. We will make trek preparation, get introduce with the guide, Buy Trekking gears or Rent.

Day 3: Drive to Besisahar and Trek to Bhulbule (840m):  With 6 hrs drive from Kathmandu, we will arrive at Besisahar. We can take additional 30 mins drive to Khudi or can hike for about one and half an hour to reach there.  We will enter ACAP from Bhulbule. We can see the great view of Mountains on Manaslu Range from here.

Day 4: Trek to Jagat (1330m) : We will hike around 5 hrs on the trekking trail with view of stunning waterfall , terrace rice fields and with the view of Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ngadi Chuli, Rivers, Marsyangdi Hydro Power. We will stay at Jagat Village, beautiful stone village with Tibetan Culture. We can also enjoy hot spring with few mins walk from this village.

Day 5:  Trek to Dharapani (1960m) : Descending trail, steep stone paved path, crossing the east bank of Marsyangdi river, rocky trail, fields, through the bamboo and rhododendron forest to the open plateau at Tal and Waterfall, suspension bridges adds beauty of trek today.

Day 6: Trek to Chame (2670m): We can also escape the above trek days by taking jeep upto Chame and thus saving few days for those who are with limited Holiday in Nepal. Trekking trail through the forest of Blue Pines, Spruce, Hemlock, Maple, Oak with the view of Mt. Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, Tibetan Traditional Villages with prayers flag.

Day 7: Trek to Pisang (3200m): Crossing the Marsyangdi River again and hiking through the forest of Pines and Oaks, with the spectacular views of Annapurna Range, Pisang Peak, Ngadi Chuli, Himalchuli. We will also see Paungda Danda, curved slab of rock, local people also call this rock as Swarga Dwar which means gateway to heaven.

Day 8: Trek to Manang (3540m): We start today trek with Steep ridge trail with view of Manang valley and Tilicho Peak (7134m). We can also see spectacular view of Annapurna Range (II, III, IV), Gangapurna (7454m).

Day 9: Acclimatization Day: Rest day, explore the Manang Village, nearby sigh seeing places, get used to thin air and acclimatize the body properly with the thin air.

Day 10: Trek to Yak Kharka (4350m): Short trek of around 3 hours with the panoramic view of Mountains, trekking trail with the scrub juniper, alpine grasses, pastures land. Main mode of transportation in this region is horses. We do not push ourselves to cover more as we need proper acclimatization, so we will take rest with 3 hrs trek.

Day 11: Trek to Thorung Phedi (4420m): Short trek of 3 hrs today too. Early climb and later descending trail, crossing the river with wooden bridge, ascending and descending trail till Thorung Phedi.

Day 12: Trek to Muktinath (3800m) via Thorung La Pass (5416m) : Big day of the trek as we will reach the maximum elevation of the entire trek i.e 5416m at Thorung La Pass. With 4-6 hrs depending upon the level of snow we will reach to the top of Thorung La Pass filled with chorten and prayer flags. We will see the great view of Annapurna range, Thorung Peak, Gangapurna, Khatung Kang, Kali Gandaki valley. We will descent steeply to Muktinath, holy site of Hinduism and Buddhism.

Day 13: Trek to Kagbeni (2895m): Morning visit to Muktinath Temple as it is so special to visit Temple without having food as per religious belief.  We will return back to tea house and have breakfast and start today trek towards Kagbeni. Kagbeni is beautiful Tibetan traditional village, famous for its primitives Tibetan architecture as well as Monastery which is believed to be built on 15th century.

Day 14: Trek to Marpha (2650m): Trail through the Kali Gandaki Gorge. If we want to complete our trek early then we have option to stop at Jomsom and take flight/Drive to Pokhara with additional Price. If we continue our trek then we will reach at Marpha on this day, Marpha is popular place for the Apple, Monastery. Need to try some products made from Apple.

Day 15: Trek to Ghasa (2013): We descend more, leaving the Tibetan Culture behind less by less. The trekking trail is through windy area, pine and rhododendron forest. This part is famous for Wildlife, bird watching and Wild Marijuana field.

Day 16: Trek to Tatopani (1190m): Easy day of trekking, relaxing evening at Tatopani where we will enjoy ourselves in the natural hot spring. On the way we will see great views of Mountains, worlds’ deepest gorge, waterfall.

Day 17: Trek to Ghorepani (2860m): Oh the trail ascends again, steep uphill trail, through the village of Gurungs, Magars caste people, descend trail, passing though the Rhododendron forest with the panoramic view of Mountains.

Day 18: Early Morning Hike to Pookhill (3210m) and Trek to Tadapani: Wake up around 5 am to catch the sunrise view from Poonhill. After 1.5hrs hike we will reach, from here we can see the Spectacular view of Annapurna range. We will spend few hrs in Poonhill, and have breakfast here. After the breakfast we will start our return journey. With 2.5hrs hike we will reach Banthati, we will have lunch here. After the lunch and short rest we will hike for 2 to reach our overnight and dinner spot Tadapani.

Day 19: Hike to Ghandruk and Return to Pokhara

With 3hrs of hike from Tadapani we will reach to Ghandruk, this village is regarded as the most beautiful village of Nepal, mostly inhabitated by Gurung people. We will have our lunch here, and after short rest we will hike for 1hrs to reach Kimche from here we will take jeep (3hrs drive) to Pokhara.

Day 20: Rest day in Pokhara: Explore the beauty of Pokhara, you can also do adventure activities like Paragliding, Zip Flyer, Bungee Jump, Boating in Phewa Lake. We provide booking for these services too.

Day 21: Drive/Flight to Kathmandu: Shopping for Souvenir in Kathmandu, visiting some of the sites.

Day 22: Kathmandu City Tour and Souvenir Shopping day: Take your time and visit the remaining areas of beautiful Kathmandu valley. City tour on your own, we can discuss about this after the completion of the trek whether you want to do city tour yourself or guided city tour.
